Who Am I

Capital Letter For several years, I have maintained a successful and reputable private practice in Speech-Language Pathology in Littleton, Colorado.  My primary specialty and expertise is early intervention, oral motor involvement encompassing myo-functional therapy training, speech production disorders, apraxia of speech, language disorders, auditory processing disorders and autism spectrum disorders (ASD).

My professional credentials include a M.S. in Audiology with dual certification in Audiology and Speech Pathology through the American Speech and Language Association. I am certified in the F.A.S.T. First Steps and F.A.S.T. Reading System programs.  I am a certified Hanen Speech Pathologist in the following Hanen programs: It Takes Two To Talk, Learning Language and Loving It, More Than Words. I am also certified as a Myo-Functional Therapist.  I am a registered Audiologist in the State of Colorado.  Recently, I completed a one-year fellowship program in Teaming, Leadership, Consultation, Dialogue and an Assistive Technology at the JFK Center affiliated with Colorado Health and Science Center.  I have received two awards from ASHA for continuing education.  I  have completed an American Sign Language (ASL) at ACC in the fall of 2004.

My professional experience includes:

  1. Severely hearing impaired and deaf school age children in Syracuse, New York

  2. Pre-school and school-age cerebral palsied children in Ithaca, New York

  3. Speech/Language Pathologist at Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado

  4. Part-time speech pathologist at National Jewish Research Hospital in Denver, Colorado

  5. Participated in and co-authored a longitudinal study on children with chromosomal abnormalities which was published in the Journal of Pediatrics

  6. Contract speech/language pathologist with Developmental Pathways working with children and families in their natural environments from birth to 3 years

  7. Community involvement with and workshop presentations to families, educators, and social workers regarding early childhood language development, specific strategies to promote language development and the role of language as it pertains to literacy.

I continue to provide services to pre-school, school age and adult individuals who require: speech / language / voice / fluency / oral-motor / myo-functional / accent reduction /and literacy remediation with an etiology of syndromes and related disorders.

Please understand and value the importance of individual speech-language services especially with area school districts reducing budgets currently. These reductions may negatively impact the availability and frequency of much needed services in the schools at both the pre-school and school-age levels.

This office is very cost efficient and family friendly in fees for speech, language and literacy services. We are certified in our areas of expertise, experienced and maintain ongoing continuing education. Our goal is to provide excellent services at a cost parents and/or family can reasonably absorb.
