About The Hanen Program
he Hanen Program
is a family focused program for parents of children who are delayed in their
language development which recognizes the importance of involving parents and
the need to help children and families as early as possible in a child's life to
promote communication. The program was developed by the Hanen Centre
and is recognized around the world for its quality and effectiveness.
The Hanen Early Language Program
Hanen Programs help children
communicate by providing intensive and innovative raining programs for parents and
caregivers. Parents/caregivers spend The greatest amount of time with their
children and have the greatest opportunity to help their children communicate.
Given information and strategies, parents/caregivers have many
opportunities to improve their children's speech and language skills.
Hanen programs began more than 20 years ago and translate the most current research on language acquisition and early
language intervention into practical, hands-on approach that is respectful of
parents'/caregivers' and children's individual differences.
